The Adolescents with The Street Dogs at the Creepy Crawl - 07/18/2006
This was a long awaited show. The Adolescents had not been here since '88. And even then it was a different band (except for Soto.) We missed Ultraman and another band. I'm not sure who the first band we saw was. They were okay. We were still amazed at the fact that the new Creepy Crawl didn't smell like urine and you could actually see stuff. The Street Dogs came on and put on a great show. We had seen them open for Social D. So we knew they would be good. The singer had a good time talking with the crowd. He knows how to get every body into it. The band was very tight, excellent guitar playing and sing-along lyrics most of the time. After the break, The Adolescents were up. They started out with "No Way" and continued to kick butt the rest of the show. Rikk Agnew was missed on guitar. But Frank's kid was more than able to pick up any slack. They did a nice blend of old and new stuff. Sorry we missed Ultraman, but a great show all around.
