Candye Kane at the Broadway Oyster Bar on 06/24/01

John the owner asked me if I knew who Candye Kane was. And I asked,

"You mean the Porn Star?" He said "Yep." He then played me the CD and it was

really impressive. So out of curiosity and everything else we checked her

out and she was great. The band was really surprising. The guitar player had

a sound very close to Rod Piazza's band. It was very much West Coast Jump

Blues and done perfectly. Candye's voice is as good as any blues singer ever.

Ranging from sweet and soulful to down and nasty. You may go in for the

novelty factor, but you will walk out impressed and ready to go back for more.
